Information Literacy Program

            Starting this academic year 2016-2017, the librarians of the Grade School Library will take an active part in promoting media and information literacy through their Information Literacy Program (ILP). The ILP aims to promote the love for reading and to introduce the basic concepts of media and information literacy. It also aims to develop students to be critical thinkers and life-long learners. In ILP, the librarians will teach each grade level at least once per term during their English or Computer classes.            

   

             Last September 7 and 8, Mr. Kelvin Samson taught Grade 6 students the basic concepts of media and information literacy during their English time. Their next meeting is set on November and they will discuss evaluation of information and searching using Boolean operators
